Canadian Payroll Services Inc. is a Professional Employer Organization. We are excited with the pace of growth and are expanding our team. We need an experienced individual in our back office to execute and manage payroll and accounting functions.



Duties:



– Administration of signing up new clients and employees

o managing contracts

o collecting and providing procedural information

– Executing and managing payroll and accounting functions

o full cycle accounting

o T4s, pay slips, WSIB, EHT, etc.

o collecting and processing timesheets and expenses

o annual reporting

o providing employment reference letters and termination notices

o invoicing clients

– Account reconciliations

– Managing and processing benefit packages

– Dealing with regulatory agencies (ie CRA, Workers Comp., etc.)

– Communicate and resolve any payment delays or discrepancies with employees and clients

– Various other back-office duties and functions as they may be assigned.



Qualifications:



– minimum 3 years experience in a PEO organization managing payroll

– 5 to 10 years experience in processing payroll and back office functions

– knowledge of HR practices and legislation in various provinces

– excellent communications skills

– excellent MS Office spreadsheet knowledge and skills

– excellent knowledge of Quickbooks

– A designation would be beneficial: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or similar. 



Job Location:



– Downtown Toronto, Ontario (King and University)
